Frequently Asked Questions
- Can the headrest be removed?
Yes, the included headrest is optional and removable after installation. If you choose to go without the headrest, you can cover the exposed mounting holes with the included cover plate.
- Why is this less expensive than other chairs?
We manufacture this and other UPLIFT Desk ergonomic chairs, which allows us to offer them at a more economical price point.
- Can I order different casters?
Yes. All UPLIFT Desk chairs come standard with dual-wheel casters, but we offer an upgrade to Blade Chair Casters with molded polyurethane blade-style wheels, precision ball-bearings, and high grade steel axles and support frames for better mobility, comfort, and ergonomic movement. Blade Casters will add 1.2" to the overall height of the chair and seat. If selected, your chair will ship with its own casters in addition to the Blade Chair Casters. Blade Chair Casters can also be ordered separately at a higher, non-bundled price for upgrades down the line and are compatible with most chairs and brands.
- What's so special about a mesh back?
The dual layer breathable mesh provides substantial, comfortable support and allows air to flow through, keeping you cool. The improved airflow is great for warm or humid environments.
- What do you mean by "usable seat depth" in the specifications table?
A chair's backrest typically sits slightly forward and above the backmost part of the seat cushion. The "usable seat depth" refers not to the full depth of the cushion's frame but rather to the portion of the seat accessible for sitting.
- Where can I sit in one of these chairs?

- Does this chair come in any other colors?
