1. What safety features does the UPLIFT Standing Desk have?
   

   Child lock and anti-collision. The keypad lock feature blocks the functionality of the keypad, perfect for preventing injury in spaces where children may be present. The anti-collision feature, which includes an integrated accelerometer and six-axis technology in the control box, stops the desk from moving if it collides with objects while rising or lowering.

2. Why does the UPLIFT V2-Commercial Frame have a crossbar?
   

   Typically, height adjustable desk frames that meet the extended height range requirement of the ANSI/BIFMA G1-2013 standard are not as stable at their maximum height and tend to wobble. This is due to the reduced overlap between the legs' telescoping tubes. To remedy this issue, we added a steel telescoping crossbar between the frame legs to reduce side-to-side movement. In addition, we increased the cross-sectional area of the V2-Commercial Frame legs by 33%, which further increases frame stability. Both the frame and the lower crossbar adjust in width to fit desktops from 42" to 80" wide.
   Our UPLIFT V2 Frame does not require a lower crossbar for stability because we designed it with a stability brace (pdf) at the top of each leg.
   Both frames include dual crossbar rails just beneath the desktop for additional, hidden support. If you have any questions at all about which desk is right for you, please don't hesitate to contact us.

3. How many motors are in the desk frame?
   

   All UPLIFT desks come with a motor in each leg, which means our 4-leg desks are equipped with four motors. This makes our height adjustable desks quieter, safer, stronger, and more reliable than desks that adjust for height via a single motor.

4. What is the ANSI/BIFMA X5.5-2021 standard?
   

   The ANSI/BIFMA X5.5-2021 Desk & Table Products standard ensures that all UPLIFT V2 frames meet or exceed strict test requirements for desk loading, racking, leg strength, vertical adjustment, and cycle testing.

5. How do I know which control box program I have?
   

   Check the small label on the end of your control box. This label has all the information you need to tell which program is on your control box. Compare the program number on your control box that starts with "99" to the program numbers found on the control box compatibility list (pdf) determine what features can be accessed with your control box, as well as compatibility with the UPLIFT Bluetooth Adapter and Advanced Paddle Keypad. If your control box has a power indicator LED on the top side and a port on one end marked "DC", you have an NH-type control box. NH-type control boxes include all available program features and are compatible with the UPLIFT Bluetooth Adapter and Advanced Paddle Keypad.

6. What features are included on the control box programs?
   

   Control boxes shipped as far back as 2017 include upgraded safety features, including the integrated accelerometer and six-axis technology. This feature improves the sensitivity of the anti-collision detection, stopping the desk more effectively if it collides with anything during movement. Combined with our Advanced Keypads, these control boxes also include features such as a Keypad Lock feature that blocks the function of the keypad so other people can't access it, a safety benefit in home offices where children are present. Additionally, you'll be able to switch between One-Touch and Constant-Touch desk movement modes. NH-type control boxes include a "Double-Tap" movement option. Additionally, the LED display can show desk height in inches or centimeters. You can also set maximum and minimum desk height limits to prevent your desk from running into fixed objects like shelves or file cabinets. 7. So is this a standing desk or a conference table?
   

   We get this question quite often - it's both! We created this height adjustable meeting table to allow you and your colleagues even more movement in the office. 8. What kind of chairs should I use with this table?

9. Is this conference table available with other frames?
   

   Due to the size of this table top, these tables are only available with a specially designed version of the UPLIFT 4-Leg Frame that includes 3 under-table support brackets and wider side brackets to spread the legs more. The table is very stable due to the heavy, durable bamboo table top attached to the strong and expertly designed UPLIFT sit/stand adjustable frame. The frame has a lifting capacity of 535 lb, produced by the 4 motors (one in each leg).

10. How do I expand the table to 108" wide?
    

    The UPLIFT V2 Height Adjustable Bamboo Conference Table can be assembled either with or without the 12" wide center leaf section. This section cannot be added or removed like a traditional table leaf. Rather, you'll need to attach it to the frame during the assembly process.

11. Can I get a sample of the desktop before I purchase the desk, to make sure that it matches with my office?

14. Do you protect or seal your desktops?
    

    Yes, not only do we construct our desktops with high-quality European E1-level adhesives, we seal them all with a UV-cured protective coating that doesn't off-gas or emit VOCs.

15. What does "Greenguard-Gold Certified" mean?
    

    Greenguard-Gold certification (pdf) means that our laminate tops have been rigorously tested by an independent, third-party laboratory and meet strict UL guidelines for emissions of chemicals such as formaldehyde. Our desktops are safe for use in homes, schools, healthcare environments, and commercial spaces.

16. What is the difference between the bamboo you offer and the bamboo offered by other companies?
    

    While most of our competitors offer a 3/4" thick bamboo desktop, our bamboo desktops are a full 1" thick, consisting of three individual layers of bamboo reeds arranged in alternating directions. This construction approach not only dramatically increases the strength of the desktop but also adds an appealing aesthetic effect along the edges of the top that we know you'll appreciate. Our 1" desktops are a full 33% thicker than the competition, adding extra durability to eliminate sagging. And our tops just last longer.

17. Is a solid wood desktop the right choice for me?
    

    If you are in the market for a one-of-a-kind natural desktop that reflects the untamed, pure habitat in which it grew, then solid wood is for you. However, if you prefer a desktop with uniform lines, finish, pattern, and color, you may prefer a laminate, bamboo, or eco curve desktop.

18. Why isn't my whiteboard desktop erasing completely?
    

    First and foremost, be sure you are using ONLY dry erase markers or your notes and artwork may become permanent records! Second, UPLIFT Desk whiteboard desktops have a protective film applied to prevent scratches during shipment and assembly that must be removed before you begin using the desktop. Beyond these tips, all whiteboard surfaces require some extra cleaning from time to time due to buildup of dry erase marker. If any residue or ghosting is left behind after erasing the desktop, use a clean cloth or paper towel with a mixture of water and a little dish soap or use Expo White Board Cleaner. If these don't remove the residue, try a paper towel with some 70% isopropyl alcohol. DO NOT use Lysol wipes or Mr. Clean Magic Eraser as these products can permanently damage your whiteboard desktop surface.

19. I don't live in the United States; will this desk work with my outlets?
    

    Yes. This desk uses an NH-type control box which can operate on any input voltage between 100 and 240 Vac. However, it comes with a standard 3-prong U.S. type grounded cord and plug. An appropriate plug adapter may be needed to fit various international grounded electrical sockets. Not sure if you have an NH-type control box?
